Roadmap 2024 – 2025 of Limagito File Mover
In 2025 we’ll migrate our development systems to the latest and greatest. Preparations are going smoothly so version 2025 will be build using the latest 32-bit and 64-bit compilers. This way our Limagito file mover tool will be ready to be used with the latest Windows OS and databases on the market. The big advantage is that we stay compatible with previous systems, starting from Windows 7 / 2008R2. We don’t need any .Net framework or Java Runtime environment which makes installation really easy.
Since the last roadmap we received many feature requests from our users, many thanks for this.
At this moment we have given priority to (random order):
OpenPGP Version 6 Support
Global File Memory
Available since version v2024.9.23.0
Global Rule Events
Global Logging option(s)
Cloud-based logging (Redis, ElasticSearch, Logstash, ..)
Enable and disable destinations
Azure File
Microsoft OneDrive
Rule Events:
REST Event option
Logging of changes
Username
Time of change
What was changed

How to create a new group and move those rules to it instead of default group
Q: I want to create a new group and move those 3 rules to it instead of default group. Can you please guide me how to do it?
A: We added some screenshots to get you started. If the new group does not exist already then please click Group button:
Next select the Rules from which you want to adjust the Group:
With the Rules selected switch to the new Group:
Confirm change of Group:

Question on Precondition File count notification
Question on Precondition File count notification
Q: We setup a rule with precondition File Count enabled. Is there a way to send a notification by e-mail when the precondition is not satisfied, when the transfer does not send the files? Just like we set notifications with Event Manager.
A: ‘On Precondition’ Rule Event was added in our latest build v2024.9.12.0
We added the following two new events:
On Precondition Success
On Precondition Error
As a reminder, to prevent getting to many (email) events you can use the ‘Error event memory’ and/or ‘Success event memory’ options. We’ll remember the last status (Success vs Error) and if it does not change we’ll not fire the event again.
